The final exam consists of the preparation of a thesis on topics that are part of the degree. The thesis work is performed under the supervision of a lecturer (advisor) and can also be performed under the additional joint supervision of an internal or external co-advisor.
The final exam consists of a discussion of the elaborate in front of a commission.
The thesis can be written and discussed in either Italian or English.
The final vote is based on an evaluation of the curriculum, the content of the thesis, its presentation, and on the other formative activities conducted during the courses.
